The D Team

"Welcome Team Ireland!" With those words from Dottie Schulz, our hopeful group became official. Although emotionally worn out from the 2 1/2 day assessment process we are super excited about getting this show on the road. And by "on the road" I mean a lot of traveling to our team's cities of residence for training and also personal study, improvement and reflection. We covet your prayers as we continue in this process so that God will be glorified in Dublin and beyond.

Operator Stupidity

Okay, so we were loaned a GPS from a sweet couple at Central Church in Huntsville to help us get around our new location without too much yelling, gas wasting or swearing. We kept being directed to off- interstate roads, told that we would arrive at our destination in the wee hours of the morning on the next day and our average speed was 30 to 35 miles an hour. There was yelling and some gas wasting but no swearing. Frustrating. When we got close to Memphis on Thursday around 4:30, the GPS told us we would arrive at 1:30 a.m. Friday even though we only had a few miles to go. In a moment of enlightenment I decided to explore the tools and options and discovered that the GPS had been set on bicycle mode the whole time. A more cynical person might blame this on some sick practical joker but we know that technology is not our strong suit and we were victims of our own stupidity. I hope you had a good laugh too.

  1. What a crazy, amazing weekend! It was kinda sad when we dropped the Coffeys off @ the airport yesterday & came home to an empty house. Oh, & I am still laughing about the GPS incident:) ~Monica
